In a significant event for UFO research in Latin America, the Peruvian Air Force has officially launched a department that will focus on studying the UFO phenomenon. It’s called the Office of Anomalous Aerial Phenomena Research (OIFAA), which was previously in operation but shut down for the past five years.(0)(1) The department will seek the expertise of air force personnel, sociologists, scientists, archaeologists and astronomers to analyze as much information and data possible about UFOs.
In my opinion this decision is great news, anytime that a country officially acknowledges the presence of UFOs, as dozens have already done, it brings a necessary level of seriousness and professionalism to the phenomenon. However, the public announcement of this event certainly should not overshadow the fact that UFO research within government and military agencies has been conducted for decades.
The nations of the world are currently working together in the investigation of the UFO phenomenon. There is an international exchange of data. Maybe when this group of nations acquires more precise and definite information it will be possible to release the news to the world – X General Carlos Castro Cavero, Spanish Air Force (2)
This might not be a surprise to many, as dozens of governments have already released thousands upon thousands of files indicating that there were departments within the government that study the UFO phenomenon. These files indicated that UFOs are constantly tracked on radar and jets are scrambled to check them out. For example, you can view the UK’s latest batch of UFO files here, at the national archives. The National Security agency has also released many files indicating the same thing (3). Apart from that, we have an enormous amount of witness testimony from high ranking military, NASA and political personnel (to name a few). Not to mention all of the people around the world who have had their own experiences. Click here to see what former astronaut Brian O’Leary has said about the subject. Decades ago, visitors from other planets warned us about the direction we were heading and offered to help. Instead, some of us interpreted their visits as a threat, and decided to shoot first and ask questions after. – Paul Hellyer, former Canadian Defense Minister (4)
UFOs are now officially acknowledged as real in most parts of the world. In Canada, where I live. the government made an official announcement that they will be stopping their investigation of them, and will be leaving it up to civilians to determine what they see. (6) Most Canadians didn’t even know that they were being investigated in the first place, and I doubt the investigation has stopped. Although UFOs are publicly and officially acknowledged as real by many governments, whether or not they are extraterrestrial is not. At least the question within the mainstream of “are you UFOs real?” has been replaced with, “are UFOs extraterrestrial?”
Unidentified aerial phenomena, otherwise known as UFOs are real, not the stuff of science fiction. Something for which there is no scientific explanation has been observed in the Americ’as (and the world’s) space for over fifty-five years. Trained observers – pilots, air traffic controllers, radar operators, astronauts, military personnel and government agencies have reported and documented spectacular events visually, photographically, and on radar. Many accounts are available in the literature – Leslie Keen (5)
My UFO Sightings
My interest in wanting to study the extraterrestrial phenomenon began when I was 12 years, and my first experience that I am aware of with regards to seeing a UFO was about 8 years ago. I remember it very vividly. I was walking through a parking lot very late at night when all of a sudden, no more than one hundred yards away I see a bright red, round ball of light next to a bright white ball of light. Probably about 2 times bigger than the brightest star you would see in the night sky, maybe a little bigger. I remember the red being a red like I had never seen in my life, and the same goes for the shade of white. They were red and white, but they were so beautiful and stood out so much more than I can describe. This had never happened to me before, and it was and still is something very special to me.
Another one of my most vivid UFO experiences happened in Northern Ontario in 2010, approximately 1000 km North of Thunder Bay. I was outside at night and had just finished a brief meditation on the roof of where I was staying. About five minutes after that I saw what I thought was just an airplane, but there were no blinking lights, and it was flying fairly low. It was a bright white light, and when it was approximately (I’d say) about 500-1000 yards from me it stopped to a standstill. It then began traveling fairly slowly in a straight line towards me without making a sound. At that moment I knew it couldn’t have been an airplane. I stood up, and tried to communicate with it telepathically, and asked if it was extraterrestrial in origin. When I did that, from it’s hovering position it suddenly shot up 90 degrees into space at a very rapid pace. As it was shooting up it went from very bright and slowly dimmed out as it got further away until it dissipated completely from sight. I was in both awe and amazement, and was also very thankful that I was able to witness something so unreal. From it’s hovering position, it couldn’t have been more than 3 seconds to completely dim out to the point where I couldn’t see it. During it’s “blast off,” my heart started to pound, and I felt butterflies in my stomach. I felt extremely “high,” it was a feeling I had never experienced before. I was on top of the world, in a total state of ‘happiness,’ joy, bliss and appreciation. I cannot describe it, but it is a feeling I’ve never felt and I will remember it forever. The best way I can describe it is when out of nowhere, you feel those moments of extreme bliss and joy. It was like that but multiplied by 50, imagine what it would be like to exist within that feeling all of the time? Imagine if we all did? It lasted for about 20-30 minutes and then wore off.
Another vivid experience I had was in Bamburg, Ontario. It was fairly late and I was driving home from a friends place out in the country -about a half hour outside the city of Waterloo, Ontario. It was country road, no street lights and no houses around, mostly farmland. While driving, I saw a very bright orange light hovering. At first I thought it was a plane. But as it was coming closer I couldn’t see it blink. I decided to stop my car and get out for a better look. It was very close, and fairly high, about as high as a small 2 seat plane would fly. All of a sudden as it came over my car it stopped, I was extremely fearful, which was odd because with my other experiences I was in ‘awe.’ The fear was great, I got back into my car, took off (fast) for home and never looked back. It was an erie feeling especially when you consider that planes do not hover.
My most recent experience occurred at the end of September 2013 in Cuba. I was on the the beach stargazing with my fellow friend and co-worker at CE, Mark DeNicola. We were the only ones on the beach when all of a sudden we see a bright white light moving extremely rapid, stopping, then moving a completely different direction, stopping, then moving at a 90 degree angle and continuing on. It was really amazing, and it was nice to have someone else there with me to share the experience with. It wasn’t the first time I’ve had a unique UFO sighting with members of the CE team. It’s happened (from what I can remember) at least four times.
I’ve had a few other experiences beyond this that’ve further propelled me to investigate the UFO phenomenon. Please feel free to share any experiences you may have had through the comment section of the article.
